Tours

We welcome tours of our facility. Please call to set up an appointment. All boarding dogs are required to attend a free pre-boarding evaluation day prior to staying with us. This allows us to access your dogs behavior in a social environment.

Dog Acceptance Policy

We accept dogs 4 months of age or older. Each dog must have proof of up to date vaccinations of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. All dogs 6 months or older must be spayed or neutered. We welcome and love all legal breeds and sizes; however, we do not allow dogs that are aggressive toward people or other dogs.

Colorado has been experiencing some abnormal bordetella (kennel cough) seasons. Some believe this is k-9 influenza because of the similar symptoms. The only way to find out if your dog does indeed have K-9 influenza is through an expensive blood test. They both are treated the same for the most part but extreme cases can lead to pneumonia. We suggest a healthy dose of vitamin C with the amount of grams given depending on the size of your dog. Although Daily Wag does not accept dogs that are coughing, a cough may start to occur under the duration of the stay. The cough does not begin right away because the incubation period is anywhere from 4-10 days. Daily Wag will not allow your dog through the door if your dog is coughing. Please understand this is nothing personal but because of the severity of kennel cough being contagious, this is for the protection of other dogs who may not have been infected yet.

Hours

Our hours are Monday - Saturday 6:30am -7:00 pm for daycare.
We do not offer doggy daycare on Sundays at this time.
Sunday daycare for boarding dogs will resume the same schedule (e.g. nap time between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.).

You may drop off your dog anytime before 10:30 am and you can pick up your dog anytime after 2:30 pm unless you have made a special arrangement with the staff. If it is your dogs first day please drop off by 8:00 am so that we may introduce her/him more slowly to the pack.

Half days are 5 hours or less.

No pickups during naptime (12:30pm-2:30 pm). We encourage naptime to prevent over stimulation and try to keep interruptions to a minimum during this time. Dogs will be kept separated from each other during nap time.

All dogs must be picked up by 7:00 pm. Late charges will be applied after 7:00 pm. Late charges are $5/15 minutes.

So, what happens after 7:00 p.m.? It's party clean up time! During dinner, the boarders will be separated again for a little rest time while their hosts clean up after a day of fun. 9:15 p.m. will be the last potty break before snooze time from 9:30 p.m. (lights out) and 6:00 a.m. Time to stop waggin' those tails. Sweet dreamz you daily waggers!

Reservations

Reservations are required for both daycare and boarding. We cannot guarantee a space for your dog for drop-ins for daycare. Payment for boarding is expected at time of arrival. Full payment for holiday reservation is required the same day the reservation is made.

Food

Daily Wag does not provide food for daycare dogs or boarding dogs. We will always keep extra food on hand in case you accidently don't bring food however, dogs digestive systems do much better if their diets are not constantly switched.

Vet Care

Comforting to know.. Urban Vet Care stands by our side as they are located only four blocks from Daily Wag I. Dr. Amy Rupp and Dr. Theresa Dye and their professional staff are always available during the day. We have the 24 hour staff of Wheatridge Animal Hospital in case of an emergency outside of Urban Vet Care's provision.
